Mark Nunis has been singing and playing piano for over 10 years, both as a solo artist and a sought after session musician.
His musical interests began when his auntie introduced him to the sounds of Elvis and other 50's singers. He first began learning organ from his grandfather who was a well known musician in the early 30's in Malaysia.
It was at age 7 that Mark began playing piano. At age 13 he discovered jazz, boogie and honky tonk music and from there started listening to and playing songs from the great artists such as Ray Charles,Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and many more.
Some of his biggest influences were Jerry Lee Lewis and Fats Domino. It was when he first heard Harry Connick Jr, in 1991, that Mark discovered the magic of New Orleans barrelhouse blues and boogie.
He currently plays in a 50's Rock n' Roll/Rockabilly band called 'The Fender Benders', and is also part of the entetainment team for Howl @ the Moon. Mark also plays solo for cafes, radio festivals,commuinity festivals & churches.
With a song list of over 150 songs, Mark's musical versatility and performance experience draw the audiences attention, and his natural rapport ensures an enjoyable and entertaining occasion.
